WHAT IS FANFLEX?

FanFlex is the first mobile app of its kind made specifically to bring a realistic and efficient way of crowdfunding to live music. Bands create campaigns in which fans fund individual shows and tours that are based on regions and timeframes that they are available to play. Fans then help bands determine where to play and when through their mobile device.

HOW DOES FANFLEX HELP FANS?

FanFlex is a free mobile app that gives music fans a voice in determining where their favorite bands play shows. Fans get first dibs on not only tickets to upcoming shows, but also to limited premiums and opportunities.

HOW DOES FANFLEX HELP BANDS?

With the rise of different crowdfunding outlets available online, there’s never been a better time for bands to engage their fans via these methods when planning their upcoming shows. FanFlex is unique in its ability to engage fans directly through a clean and streamlined mobile app that’s free to download. Bands simply create a FanFlex campaign, set the threshold of tickets needed to be sold in order for them to play, and the app does the rest!

That’s not all! Bands can also market and sell cool merchandise (ex: tour specific T-shirts or a limited vinyl release) and premium opportunities (ex: meet-and-greet or photo-ops after the show). The opportunities are endless. With FanFlex bands can finally optimize their revenue in an efficient and effective way.

HOW DO BANDS REGISTER FOR FANFLEX?
Simple! Just sign-up at fanflex.com and your upcoming shows will appear to the fans in the regions you have made available to play.
WHO CAN CREATE A FANFLEX CAMPAIGN AND HOW?

Once a band has registered online, they simply create shows and premiums to be made available to their fanbase in the regions and timeframes that they specified. FanFlex campaigns are free for 30-days. For longer campaigns or special promotions please contact us at flyingpig@fanflex.monarchy.io.

WHO CAN ATTEND A FANFLEX SHOW?
Shows listed in the FanFlex app are for anyone 18 years of age and older unless otherwise specified.
WHY IS THE LOCATION AND DATE NOT SPECIFIED ON THE FANFLEX CAMPAIGN?

At the start of any Fanflex campaign, the venue and exact date and time is not set. This allows the bands and musicians to approach different venues and Flex the power of their very fans to help negotiate the best show possible.

WHO SETS THE PRICE FOR TICKETS?

Bands set the price for upcoming shows and premiums.

WHEN DO YOU CHARGE MY CARD?

The card only gets charged if and when a show meets the threshold set by the band (aka Flex’d). If the show does not get Flex’d, then neither will the premiums.

DOES FANFLEX STORE MY CREDIT CARD NUMBER?

No. FanFlex uses a 3rd party credit card processing company with top-notch security measures in place for complete user peace of mind.

HOW DO I KNOW A SHOW WILL HAPPEN?
When a band’s FanFlex campaign ends, you will be notified via email whether the show has been Flex’d or not.
ARE THERE ANY EXTRA FEES FOR FANS?

FanFlex charges an industry standard credit card processing fee of 3% on any Flex’d show or premium campaign.

ARE THERE ANY FEES FOR BANDS?

FanFlex does not charge any fees to bands that Flex their base ticket campaigns. If the band’s ticket campaign generates $5k, the band will receive $5k. However, premium opportunities and merchandise sold through Fanflex are on an 80/20 split (where band receives 80% of revenue and FanFlex 20%) just as if a merch booth set up at a show. Bands are responsible for distributing and coordinating sold premiums at show.

IF A SHOW DOESN'T HAPPEN, DOES MY CREDIT CARD STILL GET CHARGED?

Nope.

HOW DO I GET MY TICKET AND GET IN?

FanFlex users who have purchased a ticket will have their order waiting at the venue once the location is confirmed. Many times the order can be picked up at the venue’s ticket office or door, but ultimately depends on the specific venue and their Will Call procedure. The person who purchased the ticket(s) must be present to pick-up.

CAN I PICK MY SEATS?

FanFlex guarantees it’s user with general admission base ticket whether there is seating or not. When a Flex’d show is booked in a venue with seating, FanFlex users will be given the best available seats set by the promoter. If there are upgrade opportunity available, the FanFlex user will be sent an email and have the opportunity to upgrade/pick their seat.

HOW MANY CAMPAIGNS CAN A BAND CREATE?

With other crowdfunding websites, bands have to create potential shows for each city and timeframes that they’d be willing to play in. With FanFlex, bands need to create just one campaign and designate the regions that they’re willing to play and the app does the rest! Bands can add-on as many premium merchandise and opportunities as they wish as well. Again, all within the one campaign managed from their online FanFlex account.

CAN A BAND SELL TICKETS AFTER THE CAMPAIGN MEETS ITS GOAL?

Of course! FanFlex shows are Flex’d when the band’s designated threshold is met by their fans using the app. However, ticket sales will continue till the band ceases its campaign. This way a band’s biggest fans ultimately get access to a show’s tickets before general public.

WHEN DO BANDS GET THEIR MONEY?

Money earned from ticket and premium sales through the FanFlex app are given to the musicians within one work week after they perform.

HOW DOES FANFLEX HELP VENUES?

FanFlex gives venues the confidence in booking artists that have a confirmed fanbase ready to attend. Thus, helping to keep your concert calendar full of profitable shows.

WHAT IS A FANFLEX APPROVED VENUE?

A FanFlex Approved Venue is a venue which has agreed to book bands/artists that have met their pre-approved threshold. Details for each specific venue are available for bands when they create their campaigns.

HOW DOES MY VENUE BECOME A FANFLEX APPROVED VENUE?

WHAT IF MY VENUE HAS A PRE-EXISTING EXCLUSIVE AGREEMENT WITH A TICKETING VENDOR?

FanFlex does not compete with your existing ticketing agreement. Any tickets sold through your box office or after a show has been confirmed in your concert calendar are still subject to your existing ticketing agreements. The money generated from the fans that have purchased tickets through the FanFlex app is distributed by FanFlex once the show has been played. So, rather than the venue paying a percentage of the ticket gross to the band, we allow for the fans to directly cover the artist guarantee.

CAN MY VENUE STILL CONTRACT INDIVIDUAL AGREEMENTS WITH ARTISTS ON MERCHANDISE SOLD AT THE VENUE?

Yes, standard artist/venue splits apply for any transactions of merchandise sold at your venue. Only premiums that have been pre-sold through the FanFlex app are affected.

HOW DOES MY VENUE KNOW WHICH PEOPLE HAVE PRE-PURCHASED TICKETS FOR THE SHOW?

Once a show is confirmed at your venue, FanFlex will distribute a list of fans that have purchased tickets through the FanFlex mobile app. Fans can confirm their ticket with you day of the show at your box office or door. They are to bring a valid ID to claim their ticket(s).

HOW DO WE PLAY AT A FANFLEX APPROVED VENUE?

When creating your FanFlex campaign, make sure to check the venue parameters for the venues that you wish to play. Some venues require a minimum threshold to be met, age requirements, or percentage splits on sales once a threshold is met.

WHAT IF WE WANT TO PLAY A VENUE THAT IS NOT A FANFLEX APPROVED VENUE?

Bands are able to play wherever a venue will accept FanFlex Flex’d campaigns. Feel free to direct them to our website (www.fanflex.com) for more details or let us know which venue you had in mind and we’ll explain the process to them.

HOW DO WE DISTRIBUTE PREMIUMS SOLD THROUGH THE FANFLEX APP?

Once your campaign has been “Flex’d”, we’ll send you a list of fans that have pre-purchased the premium(s) you’ve created. At the show you can use the list to distribute. Fans are directed to bring a valid ID to claim their premiums and are told to redeem them directly from the band at the show.

DOES MY CAMPAIGN NEED TO GET APPROVED BY SOMEBODY AT FANFLEX BEFORE IT GOES LIVE?

No. Once a band has signed up online and created an upcoming show or tour it will appear live within the FanFlex app to anyone within the regions that are specified in the campaign.
