Want to learn what it takes to put on shows in some of the best independent venues around the country with the latest independent artists?  Join our team to gain insight in the latest trends in live music and technology.  FanFlex is accepting 100% Remote internships for Summer and Fall of 2023. Inspired by the passion to perform and experience live music, FanFlex empowers artists thru fair and profitable performances at local venues everywhere.

Overview

As the FanFlex Artist/Venue Assistant, you’ll have endless opportunities to connect with musicians and venue owners. You’ll learn how FanFlex is engaging emerging musicians and changing the live music industry through fair and creative practices.  Due to COVID-19, there will likely be no live shows locally available, however, building a database of musicians ready to start performing on Day 1 at local venues ready to open their doors again post-COVID will be the driving force behind this internship.

Tasks

· Work virtually over Zoom with the owners of the company and other team members.
· Research new independent musicians and venues.· Pitch the FanFlex platform to artists, managers, and venues via Zoom meetings and direct messaging online.
· Manage signups, tracking metrics, and actively participate in online conversations, answering questions, offering solutions, mediating threads that ultimately grows and nourishes the customer base of FanFlex. 

Learning Goals

-Gain a basic understanding of music industry players and artists as well as the platforms that they operate within i.e. how artists today leverage Instagram to YouTube.-Become familiar with the national music scene, with a pulse on the next wave of emerging artists across all genres.-Build relationships with independent musicans and venues from across the country.-Understand how technology is changing the live music landscape for performing musicians and the stages they perform on.

Requirements

Weekly virtual office hours with individuals that are highly involved in the music industry. With over half a century in combined experience, the owners and employees will take interns on “virtual” venue meetings and artist signings. Music Business students will learn what it’s like to nurture a startup and gain access to industry insights in the ever changing landscape where music and technology meet.
