There are some great streaming platforms such as spotify, Apple music, iTunes, Deezer.com, in which artists can upload their content and earn money through premium subscriptions or sponsored content.

Musicians can attain some extra cash with either performance royalties or mechanical royalties. Understanding both types of royalties can better assist a musician to attain extra income on royalty collection.
- Live Streaming
As an artist, the main goal is to connect with the audience and a great way to reach millions of people is by live streaming. Now that COVID has kept people indoors. Entertainment and content is being devoured daily. Creating live streams can connect you to loyal fans as well as new ones and gaining momentum for lucrative opportunities by monetizing your streams. Hosting Q&As with your audience, a series of live streams, or even streaming behind-the-scenes, can allow artists to connect, earn money, and innovate.
- YouTube
Independent artists can monetize their music through YouTube’s COntent ID System. This system allows artists to share their content with the world without fear of it being used by others illegally. Thus, when the artist uploads and the content is being used, the artist can attain money for their content.

Every video game requires a soundtrack! Great instrumentals can be used to get an extra bit of money while getting some exposure as well as being featured on popular video games.

With Live shows becoming more popular, being able to sell merchandise is extra money being made. Even having an online website to sell your own merchandise can optimize exposure, get extra cas, and solidify artistic brands.

“Sync Placement” is a great way to make some money. By featuring songs on commercials, shows, or media. There are opportunities to explore as an artist by putting your music out there. With some creativity and technology it is more attainable for artists to disseminate their music and be able to get paid for it as well.
