Here at FanFlex we celebrate local musicians for pursuing their passion. Musicians are the bread and butter of the music industry and we are here to fully support them. We believe that songs are powerful and inspiring, so here are some tips for musicians to help them with their musical ventures. With the help from Vox Magazine who got to collaborate with North Village Recording owner Tim Hanson, they came up with some tips to help musicians.

1. Check Out a Local Recording Studio
Working with a studio can make the quality of your music more crisp and better quality. Recording your music can help you construct a more cohesive sound and provide structure. While working with producers can give you more of an insight on the technicalities behind recording a song and how to improve your sound. If going to a studio is not the way, try sharing your music online, this will help you gain feedback as well as help you get your music out there.

2. Journal and Record Every Idea
When you get an idea make sure to write it down, because it can later inspire you to write or create a song. Making sure that thoughts, emotions, and random thoughts are written down can be inspiration or help with creativity. This could lead to recording or creating a flow.

3. Research Different Recording Options
Making sure you get equipment that represents your sound and your style is very important, because it is the way you create your music what allows you to channel who you are through your projects. Using various tools, microphones, or instruments is important in order to develop the kind of sound you want to make.

4. Perform at Open Mics
Being able to get yourself out there with a live audience is very important. Of course this is where we (FanFlex) come in. Getting some real exposure is necessary and helpful to feel that instant feedback from the crowd and know how your audience responds to your stage presence and your music.

Making sure to have tools to create your sound and get your talent out there takes various components. It is important to create music that well represents and translates what the musician is trying to convey. Drawing from inspiration and taking the opportunity to create music that speaks to the artist and the audience.
