Pushing Veronica and Connecting with Fans

06 Oct Pushing Veronica and Connecting with Fans

Interview by Brianna Gallegos

Pushing Veronica is a post-grunge pop-punk band that has been playing together since 2017. Riley Wilkinson is the drummer, Julien Silvas is the vocalist and a guitarist, and Noah Rozansky is a guitarist.

They recently performed their latest song, “Forget You,” at Hotel Ziggy in Los Angeles, California. The concept for “Forget You,” as well as the music video depicts a relationship that started well and then towards the end, things fizzle out.

Julien: “I was talking to a girl, and you know, we felt like a pretty tight-knit team, me and this person, and you know, things just kind of went awry at one point. I will always remember what we had, and I want to always remember that it’s a life lesson.”

Aside from performing, while on tour, Pushing Veronica and its members look forward to meeting new people and experiencing new places and things.

Julien: “Hanging out, meeting new friends, that’s always my biggest thing. You know, just talking to people, getting to know them. People who are also enjoyers of music, whether it be in a different genre or the same genre, kind of get all aspects.”

Noah: “Yeah, and, concerts are all about, like, new experiences, whether it’s new experiences with fans, or with a new venue, or even a new restaurant, like when we were touring the U.S., you know, we’re at a new restaurant every night in a new state. And so it’s just fun to get all these new experiences that are so rare.”

Being able to stay connected with fans and interact with them through email or social media helps them tremendously when planning for a tour because they will go through whichever state their fans are calling them to.

Riley: “Everything is social media-based now, and it’s hard to contact or get a hold of someone without social media. In this day and age, when fans want to talk to us, and they’re asking, like, when are we coming out next, we want to know so we can possibly prepare for another tour or show. Like our fans, let us know when and where they want us to play.”

Julien: “It’s always good to communicate with your fans, stay updated, and reach out because I don’t like seeing them as fans. I see everyone who comes to our shows as friends, you know, making new friends, especially if you’re meeting and talking to these people; I want to see them again, for sure, you know. Yeah, so if that’s through Facebook or Instagram, YouTube, or any of our other social media platforms, that’s the best way to keep in touch with everybody besides seeing them in person at a show.”

Connecting with fans is extremely important to Pushing Veronica, and FanFlex knows and cares about this. That’s why it’s so simple for artists to use the platform, retain their fans and show data, and keep 100% of their hard-earned money.

Julien: “With FanFlex, for the shows that we’ve done, one of the greatest things as a band, and in the music industry for musicians as well, is being able to sell our tickets and to see a return for the efforts that we are giving. I really commend FanFlex for making it easier as a tool for us.”
