Position Overview
FanFlex is looking for an unpaid Marketing/PR Intern that is interested in learning what it takes to create a press release and drive media buzz around a music-tech startup. The internship would feature virtual networking with bloggers and other online writers and trendsetters. Help build and maintain strategic partnerships across the live music business as we support other parts of the music industry during the COVID-19 Pandemic. As part of the FanFlex team you will gain valuable public relation skills and relationships as you build your writing reputation and portfolio.
Tasks
· Work virtually over Zoom with the owners of the company and other team to support PR strategy and special projects.
· Research and help draft media one-sheets, press releases, blog and community marketing posts.
· Help develop cohesive strategies with content creation and social media teams that align with press releases and media hits.
· Create and manage weekly/monthly marketing newsletters.
· Build and maintain strategic partnerships across the music industry.
Learning Goals
-Create and distribute media one-sheets and press releases to digital media outlets.
-Build writing and networking skills as you build your career portfolio.
-Write custom blogs and get published online.
Requirements
Weekly virtual team office hours multiple times a week with individuals that are highly involved in the music industry, as well as, individual one-on-one virtual meetings throughout the week.
