Here at FanFlex, we want to make sure that all of our artists have an amazing experience performing for their local communities. We want to make sure that the audience and the artist connect and create a memorable event that will allow musicians a greater following and performance success. With the help of Music House School of Music, we have found 7 tips to help musicians with their stage presence!
1. Embrace What Makes You Unique
In order to make yourself memorable on stage, make sure that your true personality shines through. There is nothing more engaging than watching a musician showcase their talent, essence, and uniqueness shine through.
2. Use The Whole Stage
Standing in one spot may make the musician appear uncomfortable on stage, making the audience uninterested in the performance. Commanding the stage by utilizing it to your advantage moving around, makes the performance more entertaining and it draws the audience in. It shows control from the performer and creates a more enjoyable experience.
3. Avoid Lapses In Energy
Make sure that once you start a performance there is momentum throughout by maintaining consistent energy. Staring off strong and finishing off strong allows for the crowd to get into the performance fueling the ambiance. Making sure that the experience is upbeat and maintaining consistent energy throughout the whole performance is key.
4. Choose A Great Outfit
Some artists like to be remembered by their eclectic style, and there are some rockstars who became popular for their memorable outfits. We are not saying to go broke buying an expensive outfit, but it is always a good idea to express your stile in many ways, sometimes a little goes a long way, and sometimes conveying your style as a musician helps with confidence and performance.
5. Record Your Performances
It is always a good idea to record your performance for live events. It can be a tool for musicians to see any part of the event which they might want to keep for future gigs or things that could be removed. Analyzing oneself can allow us to make sure to create a more fulfilling show because we can see when there is opportunity for improvement, and you can even use the footage to post on social media.
6. Know Your Audience
This one seems obvious, but it is important to know who will be watching your performance or who you are playing for. The venue can have specific rules for performers and it is important to know that as a musician you are giving a great show without any room for avoidable faux pas.
7. Practice Makes Perfect
Making sure you practice and keep your skills sharp for performances is paramount. Whether is through continuous lessons or more hours of practice. Making sure saving time to keep your creativity growing allows musicians to continue performing and showcasing their talents.
FanFlex is here to support musicians and their endeavors and we look for any tips that will help them keep their confidence and show our support. Shoutout to Music House School of Music for also looking out for their community and their musicians by coming up with such great tips. There is nothing more fulfilling than making someone's night with a great performance.
